Job Description:
JOB TITLE: Organizational/Executive function skills Tutor at the Learning Lab  
 
DEPARTMENT: LEARNING LAB @ LESLEY UNIVERSITY  
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  
Trained as a teacher and looking for a chance to really have an impact on kids? We're looking for qualified professionals to provide personalized tutoring of school-age children (or adults). We provide referrals and active supervision. We offer flexible hours (after school, evenings, weekends).  
 
NOTE: To apply for this position, cover letter and resume required. This is a part-time Consultant position with no benefits. Hours may vary from 2 hours per week to 10 hours or more per week. Most work takes place at the Learning Lab @ Lesley, located in the Porter Exchange Building, next to the Porter T stop. No in-home tutoring.

Requirements:
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:  
Master's level preferred, but candidates must have at least a B.A. degree in education or related field (e.g., math or English for subject area specialists); the ideal candidate has considerable experience either working with children and/or adults with learning disabilities, ADHD, Asperger Syndrome, etc. Candidates should have formalized experience working with students in school or learning center settings. Should be familiar with systems, strategies, and tools for assisting students with a variety of executive function skills including sustained attention, task initiation, planning/prioritization, time management, metacognition, goal-directed persistence, etc. Should be highly organized, detail-oriented, consequent, positive, encouraging, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Candidates with strong writing teaching skills and coaching/mentoring experience are encouraged to apply.
