Job Description:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lesley University seeks a collaborative librarian for the position of EDS (Episcopal Divinity School) Collection Services Librarian. This is a half-time position with benefits. Under the daily supervision of the Head of Collection Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for original and complex copy cataloging of theology materials at the Sherrill Library, as well as oversight for copy cataloging, database holdings maintenance, and related work. S/he will supervise student staff in collection services activities. Under the direction of the EDS Senior Assistant Director, the incumbent will participate in weekly reference service and collaborate on collection development in a specific subject area.
Requirements:
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Masters Degree in Information or Library Science from a U.S. accredited graduate school; 3-4 years cataloging or copy cataloging experience; excellent oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills; creativity and adaptability; knowledge of and experience with one or more modules of a library management system.. One-year experience providing reference and/or instruction in an academic library. Coursework in theology or religious studies required. Experience with Voyager ILS desirable.
